NOPD searches for driver involved in fatal I-10 Service Road hit-and-run

Cameras along the interstate captured a red Nissan 370Z coupe NOPD investigators believe was involved in the hit-and-run that happened Saturday night.

NEW ORLEANS — A search for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash on I-10 which killed a pedestrian is underway according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Cameras along the interstate captured a red Nissan 370 Z coupe NOPD investigators believe was involved in the hit-and-run that happened Saturday night in the 8500 block of I-10 Service Road.

A pedestrian walking on the should was struck and killed by the driver in the Nissan according to police.    

In the still images provided by the NOPD you can see the vehicle before the collision and after. Damage to the front passenger side can be seen in the after picture.

The NOPD says the vehicle has a license plate number 543 DMZ.
